Dr Thomas Morgan is a General and Colorectal Surgeon based in Wellington, providing private surgical care for patients across the Hutt Valley, Wairarapa, and Kāpiti Coast.

He holds an MBChB, FRACS, and MHSc, and has extensive experience in abdominal, colorectal, and minimally invasive (laparoscopic) surgery.

Thomas completed his surgical training throughout New Zealand including Wellington, Masterton, Tauranga, Christchurch, New Plymouth, and Auckland, before undertaking post-fellowship training in the United Kingdom and Australia. His international fellowships, based in Bath, Bristol, and Brisbane, focused on colorectal surgery, laparoscopic techniques, and cancer surgery.

Born and raised in Wellington, Dr Thomas Morgan is proud to serve the community he grew up in. When he’s not in surgery, he enjoys running, cycling, swimming, tramping, snowboarding, and exploring Wellington’s trails and coastline.

He’s also a keen participant in quiz nights and tennis, and values time spent outdoors with family and friends, making the most of the region’s natural beauty and active lifestyle.
